The Padre...
Just wanted to take the time to share a photo with you. Nothing extravagant today, just a simple image shot from the balcony of my old apartment on G Street. As I was driving home from work I noticed the big red letters on the roof, which usually spell out THE PADRE HOTEL, are no longer up. Being as nostalgic as I am at times, it made me a little sad. I heard the hotel is re-opening soon so I really hope it's only temporary. I will be disappointed if it is no longer a part of the downtown skyline, but at least I have this photo.

Memories! I too hope the sign goes back up. Beautiful picture of the old building!
ReplyDeleteIt is being remodeled, but i dont know about the sign. I really do like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteAww, when I saw the title of this photo I expected it to be Daddy (Padre), then I scrolled down and realized it was the Padre Hotel.
